Krissy! Everyone loved this cheery snowman card! We love how she layered the snowbanks and separated them by putting glitter on the top outline of each hill. Very fun! In her card she used the Snowflake Symphony Perfectly Clear Stamps for the background the Winter Warm Clear Stamp Set and the Snow Place Clear Stamp Set

While we realize that it’s Summer and there may be a heat wave moving throughout much of America, we think that it’s never too early to be making Winter and holiday gifts! Or thinking about them anyway! Here at the Stampendous headquarters, our Art Director, Lisa Hindsley, has had a creative streak with our clear pails after seeing them featured in Disney’s Family Fun Magazine. She thought the idea to build a robot center piece out of a pail and items found around the house was brilliant! So she scratched her head and came up with even more pail character creations! The first was a cool snowman she calls Flakie Jake and he is sooo simple to make! This project is for any level crafter and especially great to make with kids.

The challenge this week is a window card. That means, you can make any type of card with an opening in front to view something on the inside. And for STMC14, we will be giving the winners either the Love Robotz clear stamps or the Fluffles Wuv clear stamps.

Classic wood-mounted rubber stamps provide superior stamping and a luscious stamping experience. The rubber holds and transfers ink better than clear stamps. The foam mounting transfers pressure evenly so that the stamp image forms completely. A wooden handle is printed with a picture of the stamp (called an index.) The wooden art stamp experience is the best of the best.

The Best Background Stamp for Sentiment Cards

I just add red ink and stamp it onto cream colored card stock or I add white ink and stamp on red card stock. Very simple, very nice effect.

Try using a burgundy dye ink for this stamp, and then print on pink paper...really pretty. Or, stamp and emboss on a white or cream cardstock, set aside. Stamp again on a colorful magazine page. Cut out just the flower petals from the magazine image and glue them to the cardstock image.

as an art teacher, I find the line drawing beautifully done...I envision using this stamp by stamping first in black, then on a separate paper... stamping, coloring, cutting out (just the lower right large flower) and mounting as a pop out overlay on the first image. The depth created would be awesome.

I have the rectangular version of this stamp. I gold embossed the stamp, then watercolored. When it was dry I used Diamond Glaze to fill in the open areas. It came out looking like enameled jewelry. Nice addition to a card.
