Classic wood-mounted rubber stamps provide superior stamping and a luscious stamping experience. The rubber holds and transfers ink better than clear stamps. The foam mounting transfers pressure evenly so that the stamp image forms completely. A wooden handle is printed with a picture of the stamp (called an index.) The wooden art stamp experience is the best of the best.
I have used this stamp for a memorial card, using the palest of sage green and painting the flowers in a soft pink with a slight touch of pale glitter. The wording was set over the some of the flowers and it turned out beautiful. I have also used it on a friendship card with an Asian font.
I was undecided about this stamp until reading the reviews and getting some great ideas on how to use it. I think it will look great on a spring page "sprouting" from the corner of the page or on a photo mat.
This image is beautiful alone or when paired with a butterfly, bird, or dragonfly image. Mount on a polished stone background with pinks, pale greens, and mauve highlights for a delicate spring effect.
I have used this stamping on water color paper that was randomly colored with marigold and cherry colored ink; emboss the image in black and highlight the blossoms with a touch of red. add a Chinese symbol to the right of the branch in red.
