To make I have cut a 6 inch square of Mustard cardstock, then layered with Red & White polkadot paper. I then layered bottom half of card with flowery paper from Cosmo Cricket – Garden Variety. The faux stitches were from a Kelly Panici edge stamp set. The main image is Hot but Cool, water-coloured with Tim Holtz distress inks. The sentiment has been stamped using a Cats Life press seal stamp then partly hidden. The flower was made using retro flower punches in small medium & large, the flowers were layered up, sprayed with water & scrunched . Hugz Fleur xXx

Birthdays come quite frequently around here! For once I am thinking ahead! This Easel card will be for our Granddaughter Gena. She is turning 3 on 8/8! Two of our oldest daughter’s children have birthdays where the month and the day are the same number…SO much easier to remember! Lol

Finally gave in and purchased some of the new images from Penny Black…they were “calling my name” as I’ve heard it expressed! lol This little gal’s name is Mimi and I ? her! The name of the stamp is Sweet Thing, 4084 H is the stamp code. I used the Fantasy tree, 3880 K to stamp the random dots around her on the scallop oval. Lace Frost stickles dabbed around on the dots and here and there on the cupcake…gemstones on the corners of the sentiment rectangle. The sentiment is happy, happy, 00106 E. The pattern papers are from Making Memories, the flower border punch is from Martha Stewart and the open scallop border is from EK Success. Mimi is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, paper pieced and colored with Copic Sketch Markers.

Cut a curve to resemble a hill on a piece of green paper, measuring 8.5 x approximately 5 inches. Stamp Whispers in the lower left corner, color and add Glossy Accents to the two medium sized flowers. Stamp Whispers again, color and cut only the large flower and adhere on top of the other stamped image, slightly offset. Add yellow button with string bow. Cut 8 x 8 inch piece from cloud paper and 8.5 x 11 inch piece from blue paper. Adhere cloud paper at a slight angle to blue paper. Add green hill to the bottom. Adhere the created scene to 12 x 12 inch brown paper. Mount four pictures to white cardstock leaving a small trim between and around them. Picture sizes are one 5×7 and 3 wallets. Adhere pictures to scene. Cut sunshine from yellow cardstock and adhere in the upper left hand corner. Stamp “you are my” using the Kate Text Alphabet set. Add “sunshine” with chipboard letters below. Stamp date on yellow cardstock using the Kate Text Alphabet set. Trim to size and tuck under the photos on the bottom right side. Stamp Bohemian on white cardstock, color and add Glossy Accents. Stamp Bohemian antennae only on upper right hand corner of the layout. Align cut out image and adhere
