Classic wood-mounted rubber stamps provide superior stamping and a luscious stamping experience. The rubber holds and transfers ink better than clear stamps. The foam mounting transfers pressure evenly so that the stamp image forms completely. A wooden handle is printed with a picture of the stamp (called an index.) The wooden art stamp experience is the best of the best.
I love this stamp. Have made several cards using it. The butterfly is awesome when done 3-D and popped up. Add some glossy accents to the water and lily pad and the image really POPS when colored.
This is a beautiful feminine stamp, great for girly cards. Would decoupage the lily and butterfly and add glitter glue round the water and on the wings for xtra sparkle.
This stamp goes well with Lily Pond...I would stamp this with waterproof ink and color in with refill dye inks watercolor style...then cut it out, cutting the butterfly separately...replace the cord with a piece of wire. Wrap a piece of wire around a pencil to make a spring...cut off a few coils and slightly stretch open...glue one side of the spring to the page and the butterfly to the top of the spring to give the illusion of flying...this would be good on the inside of a Lily Pond card or even on the same scrapbook page in the background.
