This first stamp is #C140 (A Mother's Love). When my son was a baby, I used to carry him around in one of those sling/pouches and always felt like a mama kangaroo...I guess that was my inspiration for this stamp. (You could also use it for a new baby project). I have a simple pattern for this box that you can download here. Just cut along the solid lines and fold along the dotted lines....mount on a 2" x 3" base...and line the top edge with flowers.

Time to Think Spring!
With all the feet of snow and more still falling as I look out my window, I can't help but turn my thoughts to Spring.. And that is exactly what I am doing with this adorable Easter Card. Love the springy colors and the cute little bunny with a flower in her hair. I used the Creative Charms Easter Kit to make this sweet card. It has everything you need to create cards, gift bags and even picture frames for Spring. The little Easter egg brads are so sweet and pastel flowers reflect the colors of Spring and take my mind away from the dreariness of winter. It even comes with ribbon to add that finishing touch. Don't forget...Think SPRING!

Lucky 4 Me
The cluster of buttons in the center of flowers is a fun look. Bazzill has added some really fun buttons to its collection that would look extra sparkly in the center of your flowers. Look for the Modern Buttons and the Self-Adhesive Bling (these don’t have holes in the center!) and fill those flower centers this spring.

Step1
Stamp the image that you are going to add the patterned paper to onto white cardstock. In this card I am using the fun couple Melvin, J1620 and Eunice , K1619.
Step2
Then stamp the images again onto patterned paper and cut out just the piece that you want to be patterned. Here I chose Melvin's pants and Eunice's shirt
Step3
Color the images on the white cardstock with markers of your choice. Here I used alcohol based markers.
Step4
Next, cut out the shirt and the pants from the patterned paper. Attach to the appropriate places. I used a glue pen and made sure I got all the edges.
Step5
After attaching the patterned paper, I cut them out of the white cardstock that I had first stamped them on.
Step6
I split the saying King of Cool, F1680 and used part for the outside and part for the inside and layered them with coordinating paper as shown.
Step7
Use this fun and simple technique anytime you want to add some texture and dimension to your card.
When you are finished it will look like this...

Technique, Batik!
Instructions
1. Emboss on mulberry paper using solid stamp, clear embossing pad or
resist pad, clear embossing powder and heat tool, just until image is
clear.
2. Place on one side of newsprint and spritz with water until soaked but not drippy.
3. Drop one color of re-inker in several places. Using brush, dribble
more water on to spread the color, BUT leave some places available for more
color. Clean the brush. Now drop a different color, and repeat with the brush
from a clean cup of water. (I also added Daniel Smith metallic pale gold
watercolor.)
4. Fold newsprint over, press onto your paper and leave for few seconds.
5. Now carefully unfold and transfer to a couple of clean sheets of
newsprint in a flip flop method. (Don't throw out your first newsprint,
allow it to dry it makes great wrapping paper or backgrounds).
6. Fold this newsprint over, and with a medium to hot iron, press about
one minute. Carefully begin to lift off the newsprint. If it sticks, put the newsprint down and heat that area until it releases when you
lift it up. (The paper sticks because you are removing the embossing powder from the mulberry paper as you heat it. That's why it's important not to move the
paper just keep heating until it comes off the newsprint.)
7. That's your Batik paper. You will find that it will show up best
when placed on a sheet of white cardstock. I do this by "Xyroning" my card
stock then placing the paper over it and smoothing out with a bone folder.
Supply list:
White mulberry paper
Dye pad re-inkers, two or more colors (in bottles)
Third Coast rubber stamps
Clear embossing pad
Clear embossing powder (not thick)
Newsprint (the type used for drawing, not your daily paper)
Iron (without steam)
Heat tool
Spritzer bottle filled with water
Brushes
Water
Small containers for mixing color

These May basket cones are mostly seen decorated with flowers and springy things such as the more common, yet gorgeous, tussie-mussies. Here is a more masculine take on the same idea. You can see a little bit of that gorgeous Graphic 45 paper peeking from the tailored fold, but the rest is home made patterned paper using Glimmer Mist and stamps.
first started with a square of light brown cardstock. I think the measurements were 8.5×8.5 inches. I lightly sprayed the paper with Pinecone Glimmer Mist and before it dried, I rubbed it into the paper with a paper towel. This rubbing creates a really neat leatherly look to the paper. It amazes me how Glimmer Mist adds a great richness to plain cardstock. If you do nothing else, zapping your paper with a sheer or monochromatic blast of Glimmer really adds amazing depth. In some areas, I sprayed a bit of Burnt Red and did the same rubbing technique, just for slight color variation.I first started with a square of light brown cardstock. Once sprayed and dry, I randomly stamped images (using black and brown ink) with the new Tattered Traveler stamp set from Tattered Angels. I stamped lightly and more heavily for neat layering and depth. Once done, I sprayed a bit of Patina Glimmer Mist across the top, leaving the dots. Love the texture of the dots!!!! Adds some “agey” interest don’t you think?
Then, before I folded the square into the cone shape, I trimmed the top with a strip of vintage dress pattern. I cannot get enough of the stuff! Just cut a strip from the pattern paper the same width as a strip of crepe paper (the streamers used at birthday parties). Then, with your tape runner (where would I be without my Scrapbook Adhesives tape runner???), lay down a strip of adhesive, and as you adhere the paper down, fold it so that makes a nice pleat.

We really love the new trends in peacocks and birdcages. Such pretty soothing colors and such fabulous, elegant images. Plus the beautiful look of silhouettes is all the rage. Here at Stampendous we’ve revisited some of our classic feather images as well to add depth and dimension to this terrific look.
One of our amazing design team members, Kimberly Crawford, has done a beautiful job showing our gorgeous new birdcage stamps and our fabulous Peacock Plumes Class A’Peel™ Stickers on her blog at http://bit.ly/buwJxC and http://bit.ly/9Kz4Td
These new stickers are more detailed than many of our previous stickers. They have a second layer of color added to bring out the beautiful details in the Peacocks. We also have a lovely new sticker selection in our Koi Pond Class A’Peel™ Stickers. Either of these would be wonderful for weddings or other elegant occasions. We even have stamps to coordinate with them.
These new stickers are also perfect for Fran’s Sticker Background Technique™. We’ve used them together with our Peacock Fringe Benefit Kit containing 5 jars of coordinated Fun Flock and Glitzy Glitter colors to create a dynamic card that would wow anyone.

Glitter pens
|
My favorite new cardmaking tool
These pens are wonderful! I used them to color the rainbow on a St. Pat's card, and it looks truly professional. Just the right amount of sparkle with none of the mess you make when using glitter and glue. Since you save a step--not having to color and then glitter--the process is quicker too.

Clear Tops Embossing Powder, Ultra Deep Pitch Black
|
EXTREMEMLY Dissapointed!!
Unlike the other comments and other Clear Tops products, I'm very unhappy with this product. It has the texture of large grains of sand that doesn't stick to the embossed surface. When heated with the embossing gun they blow all over making a huge mess. My advice...pass this one by.

VersaMark Embossing/Watermark/Resist Ink Pad
|
VersaMark is the perfect tool for embossing
Every stamper should have at least one VersaMark pad in their inventory. It is the perfect answer to embossing with powders. When I use a colored pigment ink pad to stamp and then a clear powder to emboss, on occasion it will not heat properly, so that's when I use a VersaMark ink pad and then use the colored powder to heat, it never fails to make a beautiful image. I have two in my inventory because I never want to be without one.
